Vibrant Vegetarian Salad Platters

Vibrant, fresh and full of nutrients, these vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free salad platters offer your guests a light and tasty snack with plenty of hearty ingredients to balance out the flavour profiles. Any good host knows that offering vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options is essential for any event, so take your pick from the sumptuous options below. Alternatively, combine the lot for an eye-catching and enticing harvest table that covers all the bases. Vegan salad platters are marked with a (V), gluten-free with a (GF), and vegetarian with a (VG). Lucky for you, some of these salad platters cover all three dietary needs in one!

Aubergine, Cabbage, And Black Quinoa (V) (GF)

Tuck into hearty yet refreshing aubergine salad platters made with crunchy cabbage and healthy black quinoa. These salad platters also come with a nice and filling addition of butternut, and of course some more summery ingredients to keep things fresh and vibrant.

Spring onions and vinaigrette add a lovely bite to the meal, along with radish, pea shots and rapeseed oil, while the harissa tahini dressing (made with a touch of orange juice), rounds the dish out perfectly. These salad platters also include some divine cavolo nero, pomace oil, and the loveliest pomegranates for that touch of sweetness.

Tabbouleh (VG)

If you haven’t heard of or tried tabbouleh, you’re in for an unforgettable treat. Also called tabouli, this dish is a Middle Eastern chopped salad with origins in Lebanon and Syria. It traditionally serves as part of a mezze spread with additions like pita bread and hummus, but our take on tabouleh is equally delicious – while respecting the cuisine’s history.

Our vegan tabbouleh salad platters include a filling couscous so the meal can be enjoyed on its own if needed, along with a bit of red pepper for bite, mint for some added freshness, parsley, pomegranate seeds, cucumber, red onion, tomato and mixed herbs. The sweetness of the pomegranate seeds adds a delightful sweetness to the bite of the peppers.

Broccoli, Fennel And Sun-Blushed Tomatoes (VG) (GF)

Broccoli is a criminally underrated ingredient for salad platters, so of course we have it in abundance in our broccoli, fennel and sun-blushed tomato salad platters. Vegetarian and gluten-free – yet filling thanks to the broccoli – it’s a great addition to any platter spread and bound to be a hit with your health-conscious friends. The dish also includes sugar sneap peas for crunchiness – an essential component of any salad – herby fennel for an enhanced flavour profile, and some flaked almonds for a bit of decadence. Along with a few watercress leaves, this salad is utter perfection any time of year.

Summer Coleslaw (VG) (GF)

A particular favourite of ours, Angie’s summer coleslaw takes the boring and fatty mayonnaise out of the equation to create something irresistibly delicious. Forget the store-bought mayonnaise; this salad’s dressing is made with a unique blend of Dijon mustard, red wine vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, gluten-free soya sauce, rapeseed oil, caster sugar, salt and pepper. As any sesame oil die-hard out there will know, it’s an ingredient that takes every sauce to new heights – and certainly does a lot of heavy lifting in this delicious dressing.

For the ingredients themselves, we have red cabbage, white cabbage, savoy cabbage, carrot, celeriac, red onion, apple, and pomegranate seeds. In short: not your average coleslaw! A fine-dining take on a much-loved classic, do not miss out on these delectable salad platters.

Sweet Potato Wedges (V) (GF)

These salad platters are simply called ‘sweet potato wedges’, but don’t let the short and sweet name fool you – they’re yummy salads with a symphony of flavours. The earthiness of the sweet potato perfectly complements the sweet bite of the peppadews, with a touch of pomace oil and mixed herbs, too. Add to that a spicy harissa paste and a rich sour cream to cool things down, these salad platters taste wonderful paired or on its own. We can’t forget the essential spring onion, rich and smoky roasted red pepper, and pea shoots for crunch factor.

Comfort Meets Creativity: Hearty Salad Platters

Rich flavours, healthy vegetables, and expertly prepared proteins to keep you energised throughout your event – these next five platters should pique your interest and wet your palate. Combining Angie’s creative flare with the comforting ingredients of a home-cooked meal, you’ll fall in love with these dishes after just one bite.

Grilled Cauliflower And Halloumi (V) (GF)

Another vastly underrated salad ingredient, cauliflower can easily be the star of a dish – and so it is in our grilled cauliflower and halloumi salad. While steamed, roasted or even pan-fried cauliflower is more than fine, grilled is where the magic is at – and no one knows that better than Angie herself. Our brilliant chef-owner came up with this dazzling dish that guests adore, and just so happens to be very good for you!

Delectable cauliflower aside, we also have a tasty, lemony hummus included in this dish, along with the uber healthy (and trendy) kale, chickpeas, halloumi, red chili flakes and spring onion. The platter also comes with a classic style vinaigrette made with white wine vinegar and Dijon. Finally, a not-so-secret but essential ingredient – red amaranth, with its signature earthy flavour.

New Potato, Parmesan, Chorizo And Pea Salad (GF)

Imagine a potato salad with a rich, fancy cheese, fresh healthy peas and heart, salty chorizo. There you have it: our new potato salad platters! Made with healthy soya beans, spring onion, radish and pea puree, too, it’s a wonderful spin on the traditional potato salad – with a vinaigrette and a fancy mayonnaise rather than the boring store-bought form of the latter. The chorizo makes these salad platters simply to die for, and a fabulous meal to have on hand for the carnivores amongst your group. With just a few sprinklings of the spicy sausage in the mix, it’s a brilliant balance of flavours that offers a touch of protein alongside all the healthy ingredients your body could need.

For those of you who don’t know, new potatoes are simply potatoes harvested a little sooner than their maturity date. This means they’re smaller, yes, but more importantly – softer, sweeter, and creamier. Who could resist?

Fusilli Pasta With Grilled Courgette (V)

No spread would be complete without pasta salad platters, and this fusilli with grilled courgette dish is wonderful on its own or paired with one of our many other dishes. We use beautiful, fresh green and yellow courgettes grilled to perfection for that smoky heartiness, along with soya beans, spring onion, radish slices and a hint of lemon zest. The platter also includes capers for a touch of umami, alongside mozzarella cheese, our fancy in-house mayo, and a few pea shoots to finish things off. Don’t worry, this dish also utilises that banging vinaigrette you’ve heard so much about – a lovely dressing that pairs perfectly with the platter’s array of balanced ingredients.

Lentil And Smoky Aubergine (V) (GF)

For the lentil lovers out there – a brilliant source of protein and a filling addition to any salad – this platter pairs the tasty legumes with smoky, delicious aubergines. Roasted rep peppers take the dish to a whole new level, providing that signature taste that makes romesco sauce so enticing, along with spring onion, radish, and smoked aubergine puree. Top it all off with a dollop of crème fraiche – a little goes a long way – and you have a delectable salad and perfectly balanced plate.

Orzo Pasta, Butternut And Mushrooms (V)

Another spectacular pasta salad, this platter includes delicious butternut and mushrooms to feed the body and soul – and is totally vegetarian and gluten-free. If you haven’t tried orzo before, do not wait another minute. It’s a divine short-cut pasta similar to rice – but oh so much richer – usually made from semolina or grain.

This platter comprises hearty butternut squash scattered throughout with the king of all mushrooms – the oyster kind – plus peppery wild rocket, tangy red peppers and feta cheese. You’ll also taste some radish, pea shoots, spring onion, parsley and Angie’s signature Dijon and white wine vinegar vinaigrette. Colourful, nutritious and ultra-delicious, you can’t go wrong with our orzo pasta salad platters. Your guests will love it!

The Angie’s soy and sesame soba noodles are a grand take on the dish and entirely vegetarian, with an array of healthy veggies like radish, baby corn, sugar snaps and carrots, as well as broad beans for that essential bit of protein, pea shoots, courgettes and red and black sesame seeds.
